Canyonlands Campground

This large and busy campground has a little bit of everything: tent camping, cabin rentals, and partial or full-hook-up RV sites. One of the few campgrounds open year-round, this one is located just on the south end of town. All the shops, stores and restaurants are within walking or biking distance. The campground also has a swimming pool near the office, a general store, a laundry room, dump station, and multiple bathhouses. The campground offers free WiFi, and free cable TV at most sites. The RV sites have a good amount of shade trees although some of the tent sites are in full sun. Caution: This is a very popular location so make your reservations well in advance. Since the campground is large expect a wait in the laundry room and for the showers.

Miscellany

KZMU: Moab Community Radio

This station has the best reception in Moab and that’s a good thing since it is an amazing station. Staffed by volunteer DJs the music is rarely the same and it is never boring. Definitely worth a listen when you are in the area, and you can also listen online when you are far away. Reminded us of KXCI, Tucson’s Community Radio station which we love and miss (although we listen online when we can).
