Balmorhea State Park

This park is an oasis in the desert. The park boasts facilities built by the CCC which make the most of San Solomon spring. The spring gushes from the earth at close to a million gallons an hour and the best part? The water averages a wonderful 73 degrees! The park’s huge spring-fed pool is open everyday and they have camping as well as several motor inn rooms that they rent out. I wouldn’t recommend the park in the summer but any other time would be wonderful.
