Texas
The diversity of Texas pleasantly surprised us. During our time in the enormous state we wandered along the balmy Gulf Coast, explored the rolling Hill Country near Austin, camped lakeside in the Prairies and Lakes region, warmed ourselves in the desert of Big Bend Country, soaked up the history of the South Texas Plains while in San Antonio, and enjoyed the dogwood blossoms in the Piney Woods. The only region we didn’t delve into was the Panhandle Plains area, more for next time!
