Charleston Tea Plantation
This was more interesting than we thought it would be! A short drive from Charleston this is the only tea plantation in North America. The fields are gorgeous and it was nice to see tea plants up close, they were different from what I had imagined. Be sure to take the free tour of the factory where they dry and sort the leaves. Then relax on the porch in a rocking chair as you sip samples of the delicious tea. Of course, they have a large gift shop with all things tea related. Plan carefully as the plantation is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
