Rue de L’espoir
This small cafe which specializes in delicious, gourmet breakfasts also serves lunch and dinner. We were introduced to the Rue by a family member who just loves it there and it was easy to see why. The Rue’s menu items are far from ordinary, expect tasty food with a French twist. The Rue serves a very popular brunch on Sundays. Hint: Reservations recommended, especially for weekend brunch. Free off-street parking is available behind the restaurant.

Roger Williams National Memorial
Located in “Downcity” Providence the Memorial includes a small Visitor Center with exhibits and an introductory movie as well as a nice sized city park. After your visit to the Visitor Center tour the park looking for the heritage garden area and the locations of the fresh-water spring and Williams’ original house. Plan about an hour although you can also visit nearby points of interest of the John H Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor. Limited free parking near the Visitor Center.
