Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge
After the hubbub of Newport it is wonderful to get away from the crowds. The refuge covers the tip of a small peninsula where over 200 species of birds have been recorded. We wandered the trails, soaked in the ocean views and relaxed. We also added a few new birds to our list. The limited facilities close early though the refuge is open from dawn to dusk.
