Zelda’s Pizza

People either love Zelda’s or hate it. Apparently lots of ‘em love it because the place is always packed. The entrance is near the bar and the dining room looks like a dimly lit tavern which is not surprising since it was once. It is unconventional there, they ask you to order before you are seated, that way they can get started on your pie. Or call ahead, order your pizza, and then when you arrive give them your name. More than likely you’ll still have to wait but have a beer and use your time to people watch or try to get a smile out of the staff. When we go, and we go every time we are in town, we order a big salad and a spinnoccoli pizza. They call it Chicago-style pizza but its not like any other pizza I’ve ever had, I just call it delicious. Caution: Parking is on-street metered only. Zelda’s only takes cash (they have an ATM in the bar area). It is not really kid friendly, there are no highchairs.
