Julian Pie Company
Located in a tiny, quaint old mining town the Julian Pie Company has been baking treats for over twenty years. In the fall the pies are made from apples grown in the local orchards which we passed through on our up to the mountain hamlet. Since it was spring, the trees were blooming and it was just beautiful. Upon entering the small house we were greeted by both a delicious aroma and the friendly staff. They specialize in pies of many flavors, not just apple but multiple versions of apple. You can have your pie cold, warm, with ice cream or with cheese, it was so hard to decide! They also make small cookies from the leftover pie crust that are sprinkled with cinnamon sugar. What a treat, they were just like my mom used to make, mmmm. Though there is a small indoor seating area we sat out back at a picnic table to enjoy our treat. They also serve sandwiches and soup for lunch but why eat lunch when you can have homemade pie?
