Queen Creek Olive Mill

We really enjoyed our visit here. There was a tasting room stuffed with various olives, tapenades and olive oil samples, the front patio had a free wine tasting, there were aisles and aisles of olive related and local Arizona products to shop through and of course, there’s a cafe. After listening in on the “tour” we grabbed a bite to eat. It would have been lovely to sit out on the patio but the wind kept us inside. We cleansed our palates after lunch with a touch of gelato—ah, those Italians really know how to do it! Of the myriad of choices offered my personal favorites are the infused oils, namely the Mexican Lime and Blood Orange. We drizzle it over salad, cook with it and dip our bread in it—meraviglioso! Cautions: The Mill is not easy to find in the sprawling suburb that is Queen Creek. The $5 tour is not worth the money—it is not a tour, it is a 15-20 minute talk about the Mill. The talk was informative though. Cafe is not open for dinner and inside seating is limited.
