Ohio Buckeyes
Ingredients
- 1 stick butter (softened)
- 1 ¾ c. creamy peanut butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 lb powdered sugar
- 12 oz package chocolate chips
- ½ square paraffin or 1 Tbs. vegetable shortening
Cream together first four ingredients. Roll into small balls (about the size of a large marble). Place on a cookie sheet covered in wax paper. Cool in refrigerator.
Melt together chips and paraffin in double broiler. Leave heat on low. Use a toothpick to dip balls into melted chocolate, do not submerge, leave a small circle of peanut butter visible. Place back on wax paper and remove toothpick. Store in refrigerator. Can also be frozen. Makes about 8 dozen.
