We weren’t even remotely dissuaded by this sign! In fact, we were intrigued by the historic establishment where the sign was posted: the Drift Inn Saloon in downtown Globe, Arizona. We are happy to report that the first three items did not prove to be true.
We discovered this sign inside the Warren Tavern in Charlestown near Boston. After all our years of working with the public Lance and I found it to be oh so true. I still wonder how old that sign was; some things just never change.

There’s no such thing as seagulls. Only bay gulls. Spoken by George our volunteer bird tour guide at Padre Island National Seashore. It took us half the day to figure out what he meant! Say it out loud, you’ll get it.
