Agree totally, especially about Kim’s mention about workamping.
For one thing, you can’t buy crap like you used to. No more room for useless knick knacks.
Secondly, no matter what kind of rate you pay at RV parks, it’s still cheaper than a mortgage payment.
And yes, the workamping thing is great. We’ve been able to extend our one year sabbatical out to two years, thanks to the money we’ve saved by workamping here and there. We’ve been in Lake City for over a month now, and haven’t needed to buy one single tank of diesel since we got here, because it’s so darn beautiful here, we don’t want to go anywhere else for now.
What is workkamping? When you send me one of your blogs anymore, I can’t get any further than the introduction. I have to wait until I get to an e-mail that lists your recent then I log on. Case in point I could not get on the original of the travel challenge July 2008.

Workamping is volunteering or working in exchange for a free RV spot. Lots of retirees supplement their income this way, and get to see and explore really neat places around the country. View more information at Workamper.
