Counting Hairs
When asked by our guide at the High Desert Museum to guess how many hairs per square inch we thought dogs had, one man had the perfect answer, “None, they’re all on my pant legs.”
Even the guide had to stop and laugh at that one!
Just so you know, our guide said that dogs average 60,000 hairs per square inch, and cats average three times that. River Otters have 360,000 hairs per square inch, and Sea Otters have over one million.
First thought that came to my mind, who counted ‘em all?
What is “From the Road?” At the beginning of every month we will share a thought provoking (if sometimes silly) quote, photo, or humorous moment with you. We may draw from a variety of sources (signs, brochures or conversations), but they will all have one thing in common—they entered our lives because we are on the road.
