Cats and Dogs
A little summertime humor for all you animal lovers out there.
How many dogs does it take to change a lightbulb? Depends on the dog.
Golden Retriever: The sun is shining, the day is young, we’ve got our whole lives ahead of us and you’re inside worrying about a stupid burned out bulb.
Border Collie: Just one, then I’ll replace any wiring that’s not up to code and repaint the wall where you scuffed it in the dark.
Dachshund: You know I can’t reach that stupid lamp!
Boxer: Who cares? I can still play with my squeaky toy in the dark.
Lab: Oh, me, me!!!!!! Pleeeeeeeeeeze let me change the light bulb! Can I? Can I? Huh? Huh? Can I? Pleeeeeeeeeeze, please, please!
German Shepherd: I’ll change it as soon as I’ve led everyone to safety, made sure no one was hurt, checked to make sure I haven’t missed anyone, and made one more perimeter patrol to see that no one has tried to take advantage of the dark situation.
Jack Russell: I’ll just pop it in while I’m bouncing off the walls and furniture.
Old English Sheep Dog: Light bulb? I don’t see a light bulb.
Pointer: I see it, there it is, there it is… right there…
Greyhound: It isn’t moving so who cares?
Australian Shepherd: First, I’ll put all the light bulbs in a little circle…
Poodle: I’ll just blow in the Border Collie’s ear and he’ll do it. By the time he finishes rewiring the house, my nails will be dry.
Basset Hound: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz…
The Cat: Dogs do not change light bulbs. People change light bulbs. So, the real question is: How long will it be before I can expect some light and some dinner?
Speaking of cats, I came across this ad in a magazine and found it quite funny, especially the last line. (My apologies about the wrinkles, I had hoped to link to the ad online but I can’t seem to find it anywhere so my crinkled page torn from a magazine will have to do.)

As for communicating with our cats, we know they understand their names and the words “no”, “treat”, and “outside.” We suspect they understand far more than that though they actively practice selective hearing. Which raises the question, “Why do we love them so?”

I love it! Your two cats are cute as can be and they are lucky to be traveling with you. Karen
