Travel Challenge Answer March 2008

Filed under: Travel Challenge by Erin on 3/23/2008

A great big thank you to everyone who took a stab at this month’s Travel Challenge. The tall, windy place is Mount Washington, New Hampshire. The highest wind speed on the surface of the Earth was measured there on April 12th, 1934, at 231 miles per hour.

Congratulations to Sam D for the first correct answer.

To learn more about Mount Washington, read our story, North of the Notches and view our photos from our visit (37 photos). We visited Mount Washington in August 2007.
