Dead End

Filed under: From the Road & Humor by Lance on 3/1/2008

Seen next to a cemetery in Coventry, Rhode Island, June 2007. They’re not kidding when they say “Dead End.”

(See also Dead end… no U-Turns… on Sam’s blog.)

What is “From the Road?” It's where we share a tidbit—be it a quote, a photo, or some other oddity—that we encountered during our travels. Enjoy!

“Dead end” seems to be a regional expression. In the West, at least in California, the sign would say “Not a through street.”

    Hi Russell,
Good to hear from you! That’s funny about CA signs. Tucson is such a strange mix that we not only have “Dead End” and “Not a through street” we also have “No Outlet”.
