Foghorn and Windsurfer

Filed under: Video by Lance on 7/17/2007

Our first video from our time in Rhode Island is the fog horn at the Beavertail Lighthouse on Jamestown Island (officially Conanicut Island.) I am posting this more for the sound than the image, to be honest. It was a very foggy day at Beavertail, and the fog horn was so loud that it dominated conversation. But that’s good, right? For the ships out there, anyway.

This second video shows the beautiful Atlantic Ocean near Newport, Rhode Island. We were hiking at the Sachuest Point NWR and delightedly watched several windsurfers and kitesurfers plowing the waves of Sachuest Bay.
