Farewell to Grandpa
Norman Chester Remington: a man of integrity, leadership, thoughtfulness, and curiosity with a strong love for learning and travel. His life touched hundreds, if not thousands, of others; he is responsible in a big way for my love of travel and adventure.
This past week we learned of Grandpa Norman’s death. While sudden, it was not unexpected.
He was hospitalized for the last nine months after suffering a bad fall. Thankfully we are able to travel this weekend to Rhode Island to be with family.
Grandpa showed me that kindness and generosity are the best traits of a human being, and he set the example for me to follow. He will be greatly missed.

Sorry for your loss. I too just lost a grandpa a couple of days ago.
Anyone who’s responsible for your love of travel and adventure is a great person. Rest in peace, Grandpa Norman.
Thank you, Alison and Martha for your kind comments. We appreciate them.
Lance,
This is beautifully written. Thanks for posting these loving words about grandpa. He was an example to each of us. Everyone that I have talked to has only kind words and happy memories to relate about grandpa. He is greatly loved, because he showed great love to so many. We have all been blessed by the life that he led.
