We hope all is well with you and yours!

This is the time of year when our thoughts turn to friends and family and how important they are. This holiday season as we reflect on the past year we realize yet again, how thankful we are for the love and support of our families and friends.

We feel these relationships are the true measure of life and we are “rich” because of them. We have been reminded how precious life is; we said goodbye to a loved one this year and were dreadfully worried about the health of several other dear ones.

This past year has been one of change, not only for us but for many of our friends and family. Which helped remind us that life is change. We are not guaranteed things will stay the same any more than we are guaranteed another day here on earth. And that was part of the impetus for our new lifestyle, we didn’t want to put off this adventure for another minute.

Our journey is providing us with a chance to reevaluate what is important to us and what our goals are. So far it has been an amazing gift as we have been able to reconnect with loved ones and strengthen relationships. We know that while we worked hard to get here, we were not able to achieve our dreams by ourselves. We are incredibly grateful for the relationships that we have with all of you, near or far.

So far we’ve been able to renew old relationships, create new ones, learn more about ourselves, see part of this beautiful land and experience the history and different cultures that make this such an amazing country. There was even a curious side benefit, by moving away we have developed stronger, closer relationships with friends and family back in Tucson!

Our new lifestyle may seem strange at first but when you consider that we still have chores; laundry, dishes, cleaning and still have to work, maintain our automobile, do “home” repairs and pay bills, it isn’t that different after all. While we hope to be on the road in our RV for at least a couple more years, just these past few months have made it all worthwhile. So far we are in our 10th state and our cats have traveled over 6,000 miles. 40 more states to go…

Have a wonderful Holiday Season and a bright New Year!
