Back in San Francisco
After two weeks in Sonoma County, our house on wheels is parked back in the Bay Area: El Cerrito to be exact. We are in the East Bay, near Richmond and Berkeley.
This time Lance has work meetings in downtown San Francisco, and both of us hope to see some sights in the area.
Two weeks ago we stopped here briefly to sail with our friend Tim. The day spent sailing was a major highlight of our trip! We sailed out from Berkeley Marina across the bay, around Angel Island to the Golden Gate Bridge, into San Francisco harbor, then back to Berkeley. Check out the sailing photos of our day on San Francisco Bay.
Our long stay in Healdsburg (Sonoma County) was wonderful. The weather was nice, and we were within walking and biking distance of everything we needed: groceries, restaurants, downtown, the Russian River, and countless vineyards and wine tasting rooms. A nice treat was spending time with great friends Kelly and Elaine.
We met them in the Chiricahua Mountains of Arizona in 2001, and have kept in touch over the years. It was great to catch up…
If you want to see what it was like in Sonoma County, see the photos of wine country Erin posted to our photo page.
More stories and photos to come as we head north towards Oregon by way of Sacramento and Lassen.
