Louvre Elevator Video

Filed under: Travel & Video by Lance on 6/2/2006

This clip is from our visit to Paris and the Louvre Museum (I wrote about it from France). The entrance to this world-class museum is through I.M. Pei’s famous glass pyramid, and gives the classic architecture of the Louvre Palace a modern and sunny atmosphere.

As we were coming out of the museum, Erin notice a weird elevator built to transport elderly, handicapped, and children. It is open to the air, and built in a cylinder shape with a small platform on the long end. It vaguely reminded me of a push-up ice cream treat (smooth orange sherbet anyone?).

Check out the video to see what I mean. Note the mass amounts of people going in and out of this museum. Also, the lady in blue that gets off first at the bottom is the “driver.”
