Erin and I are in an airplane flying 37,000 feet above…Kansas? It’s the first leg in our journey to Europe. These 30 fun-filled days in Italy, France, and Spain have been in our minds for six years now. It’s great to be finally on our way!

We’ve been together for 6 years; from the start we each shared stories about our European travels. Now is our chance to share in an adventure in Europe together. Erin has not been to France, the nation where I spent six months in 1999. I have never visited Italy where she visited that same summer of 1999. As it worked out, we didn’t know each other then and very closely crossed paths in Europe.

Spain will be new for both of us; we have heard so many great things about it that we knew we had to squeeze it into our trip. After hearing friends Kelly and Elaine speaking about their several months here we had to see it for ourselves.

First destination: Rome, “la città eterna”, where we’ll land early Tuesday morning the 25th of April. Our plan is to spend a few days touring Rome’s art, architecture, and cultural sites (and sights!).
