Snowed Upon in Sunny Arizona
As usually happens, fun and exciting events wait for me to be out of town.
I was gone in Los Angeles for business, then drove straight to Austin, Texas for the South by Southwest conference. It was my second year going to SXSW, and it was great!
The bummer part is that it snowed a bunch last Saturday in Superior. Erin emailed me and said it was snowing; it was really hard to believe as I walked around in balmy and warm Austin.
Superior got about 4 inches, which is great for the drought we’ve been in this year; the snow melting slowly on the ground helps avoid runoff and evaporation. Prescott and Payson, two towns north of here (and higher in elevation) got over 30 inches…I guess it even fell and stuck in Phoenix! Unbelievable.
