Ride Your Bike to Work

Wouldn’t be cool if all companies were like Google? They have a great ride-to-work program, and encourage all employees to get on their bike to come to work.
For example, they support their commuters with Bike To Work Day events and also on-site maintenance and training.
Joe Gross, System Ops Manager, recently wrote about this on Google Blog:
Cyclists can get Google-branded bike goodies, monthly onsite bicycle tune-ups, and classes on basic commuter skills, bike maintenance, touring – even how to ride your first century. But it doesn’t matter what or how far you ride. Biking to work is a great way to get some exercise, save some gas, improve the environment, and most importantly of all, have fun!
Ride on! I might not be riding too much longer to Summit Hut, though, since our Tucson weather is heating up quite a bit. It is supposed to be 110 degrees Fahrenheit this weekend. Oooof!
It is still nice to see other companies encouraging their employees to use an alternative means of transportation.
