While fautrever.com is usually just non-web news, pictures, and stories from Lance and Erin, we felt this one was important enough to be included in between a hike and some pictures!

Just this month, Lance’s web design business launched a new website and also has new name! Formerly known as “design.fautrever web design”, simpledream web studio will continue to bring top-notch standards-based web design and development to Tucson area businesses and individuals.

The new website is very basic right now; it includes contact information, a brief list of services, and a portfolio. In the works is a whole “mini-site” that will focus on web basics for web site owners and others who want to learn what it takes to design and build a website. This part of simpledream.net will be geared towards customers looking to educate themselves and make good decisions about their websites. For example, we will have a budget worksheet, a list of common web terms, and a “web basics” primer.

Visually, Lance decided to go with shades of grey for the first design to create a feel of simplicity and to put the focus on the content of the site. Later, simpledream.net will get dressed up nicely with colors and more graphics. One other feature of note is a web-specific weblog on simpledream’s website, so Lance can share thoughts and ideas on web design and development (and leave this blog on fautrever.com for personal stuff!).
