On the Cover of “Learning Circuit”
Recently Erin participated in a large project through the Environmental Education Exchange called “Powering Our Future”. The goal of the project was to create elementary, middle school, and high school teaching materials about alternative energy resources for SRP, a Phoenix-based power company. As a full-time educator for EEE, Erin goes around to area schools teaching about water conservation, recycling, and the environment.
This special project, however, was above and beyond her normal duties. It involved copy-editing thousands of pages of curriculum and materials included in the “Powering Our Future” package. Part of the gig included presenting the materials to Arizona teachers and educators as part of a 3-day conference in October 2004. Well, we just received the SRP newsletter aka “Learning Circuit”, and Erin is on the cover!
